Designed for:  67-76 A-body, 62-79 B-body, 70-74 E-body, 76-80 F-body and 77-88 M-body chassis

Primary tube size:  1-7/8" O.D.

Collector size:  3-1/2" with welded 3-bolt flange.

Flanges:  3/8" thick, laser-cut, contoured for a leak free fit.

Spark Plugs:  Headers designed with adequate plug clearance for angled plugs.

Material:  Constructed of 16 gauge mild steel tubing.  Mandrel bent on sophisticated computer controlled bending machines for precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. The mandrel bending process maintains a constant inside diameter of the tube for a smoother finish with no restriction of flow and no crimping of the tubes.

Under chassis design:  Above the steering center link design offers maximum header to ground clearance.

Full length header design:  Proven power gain vs. shorty design.

Recommended for:  550+ horsepower.

Header set includes:  Header gaskets, 12 header bolts, header reducer adapters with 3-bolt gaskets & hardware.

66-76 A-body applications:  Headers will not clear Firm Feel fast ratio pitman & idler arm.  The Firm Feel arm is 3/4" longer than the stock arm.  (The OEM arm measures 5-1/4" from center to center)

Powerglide Trans:  Drivers-side header will not clear a Powerglide Trans pan.

A-body applications with Standard Trans may require a modified Z-bar.  Sold separately #ZB340

Keisler Tremec Trans: It is imperative that the output end of the tail shaft is in exactly the same position as the stock transmission output shaft for the headers to fit properly.

Our headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation.

Due to various manufacturing designs, aftermarket parts, engine configurations, suspension combinations, etc... TTi cannot ensure headers and exhaust systems to fit all combinations.  However, we have done our best to accommodate both factory and aftermarket component combinations.  In some cases, slight modification or repositioning may be required on your part to clear the specific situation.

STANDARD TRANS Z-BAR

This is a modified Z-bar for standard transmission applications in A-body chassis with clearance issues using the stock Z-bar.  [Illustration sheet 340ZB .pdf]

COLUMN SHIFT TORQUE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Due to various manufacturing designs of the column shift linkage in some 71-74 B-body and 70-74 E-body vehicles, a modified design Torque Shaft Assembly may be required.

A Torque Shaft Assembly is required if the drivers-side stock straight torque shaft rod is mounted below the torsion bar.  The stock straight torque shaft rod passes directly through the space where the header tubes or exhaust pipe to manifolds, must go.

This precision bent assembly with laser-cut ends allows you to maintain your column shift linkage, and is a direct bolt-on replacement of your stock straight torque shaft rod.  [Illustration sheet B7174TSA .pdf]

(!) The transmission rear rod to the modified design torque shaft assembly will require modification.

(!) This modified torque shaft assembly cannot be used with all headers.  It will not clear the TTi big block 2.0 or 2-1/8 headers.

HEADER GASKETS

HTX-900 gasket material:  A high density non-asbestos fiber metal core composite consisting of graphite coated, hi-temperature facing material chemically and mechanically fused to an expanded steel core.

A proven hi-performance exhaust gasket composite used extensively within the automotive racing industry, where characteristics such as structural strength and hi-temp load retention are required to withstand severe under-the-hood operating environments.

(!) Use a very thin layer of Hi-temp silicone sealer on each side of gasket.  [Recommendation:  Permatex 81160]
