HEADER FITMENT • Our headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation.  (Click here for the factory dimensions) • Due to various manufacturing designs, aftermarket parts, engine configurations, suspension combinations, etc... TTi cannot ensure headers and exhaust systems to fit all combinations.  However, we have done our best to accommodate both factory and aftermarket component combinations.  In some cases, slight modification or repositioning may be required on your part to clear the specific situation. 1.  PLATFORM: 67-76 A-BODY, 66-74 B-BODY and 70-74 E-BODY CHASSIS 2.  ENGINES: 383-400 B-ENGINES & 440 RB-ENGINES • Headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation. 3.  CYLINDER HEADS: OEM or EQUIVALENT - FACTORY 915, 906, 452, BULLDOG, EDELBROCK E-STREET, EDELBROCK PERFORMER RPM, INDY-EZ, STAGE 5, TRICK FLOW, 440-SOURCE • Cylinder Head Studs:  Head studs may be used on the Passenger-side, however, on the Drivers-side the header tubes will not clear the cylinder head studs below the #3, #5 and #7 cylinders.  We recommend ARP bolts for clearance in these areas. 4.  SPARK PLUGS: STRAIGHT or ANGLED Headers are designed with adequate plug clearance for angled plugs. 5.  FRONT SUSPENSION: OEM or EQUIVALENT with torsion bars COILOVER without torsion bars:  The following coilover systems have been fit-checked with these headers and found there to be no clearance issues...  RMS Alterktion, Magnumforce Tubular, Magnumforce Modular Transformer, Control Freak • Steering Linkage:  OEM with torsion bars or Rack & Pinion without torsion bars • 67-76 A-bodies Only / Steering:  This header will not clear a Quick/Fast Ratio Pitman & Idler arm that is longer than the OEM arms.  Example; The Fast Ratio Pitman & Idler arms by Firm Feel, Inc. are 3/4" longer then stock.  DIY clearance can be achieved by dimpling the header tube(s), however, doing this modification will void your header and coating warranty.  (This note pertains to 67-76 A-bodies only.  Headers will fit B & E body applications with Quick/Fast Ratio arms.) • UniSteer Performance Rack and Pinion:  Headers will not clear 6.  ENGINE MOUNTS: OEM • Headers fit with Schumacher Creative Services engine mounts or equivalent. 7.  AUTO TRANS: YES  8.  STANDARD TRANS: YES • 11.0" Flywheel (143-tooth ring gear) / 383-400 B-engines:  NO, headers will not clear. • 11.0" Flywheel (143-tooth ring gear) / 440-RB engines:  YES, headers will clear, however, you must use a RobbMc Performance starter #3005. • Keisler Tremec TKO-500/600 Transmission:  Correct installation is imperative.  The output-end of the tail shaft must be in exactly the same position as the stock transmission output shaft for the headers to fit properly. • Clutch Linkage:  OEM 9.  CLUTCH FLYWHEEL: • 10.5" Flywheel (130-tooth ring gear):  YES, headers will clear. • 11.0" Flywheel (143-tooth ring gear) / 383-400 B-engines:  NO, headers will not clear. • 11.0" Flywheel (143-tooth ring gear) / 440-RB engines:  YES, headers will clear, however, you must use a RobbMc Performance starter #3005. 10.  FLOOR SHIFT: YES 11.  COLUMN SHIFT: ? 12.  PUSH BUTTON: YES 13.  STEERING: YES, POWER-STEERING or MANUAL STEERING 14.
