    HEADER FEATURES

    • Headers designed for applications with the starter located on the drivers-side

    • 1-7/8" O.D. Primary Tubes

    • 2.5" Ball Collectors with a 2-bolt stamped-formed floating flange

    One piece header tubes / No slip tubes

    • Under chassis design:  Above the steering center link design offers maximum header to ground clearance

    • Header Material:  Constructed of 16 gauge mild steel tubing.  Mandrel bent on sophisticated computer controlled bending machines for precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. The mandrel bending process maintains a constant inside diameter of the tube for a smoother finish with no restriction of flow and no crimping of the tubes.

    HEADER FITMENT

    • Our headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation.  (Click here for the factory dimensions)

    • Due to various manufacturing designs, aftermarket parts, engine configurations, suspension combinations, etc... TTi cannot ensure headers and exhaust systems to fit all combinations.  However, we have done our best to accommodate both factory and aftermarket component combinations.  In some cases, slight modification or repositioning may be required on your part to clear the specific situation.

    1.  PLATFORM:

    67-76 A-BODY, 62-74 B-BODY and 70-74 E-BODY

    2.  V8 ENGINES:

    6.1L SRT8, 6.2L (Hellcat), 6.4L (392 Apache)

    Headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation. 

    3.  CYLINDER HEADS:

    4.  FRONT SUSPENSION:

    OEM or EQUIVALENT, RETAINING THE TORSION BARS

    • UniSteer Performance Rack and Pinion:  Headers will not clear.

    • Firm Feel fast ratio pitman & idler arm:  Headers will not clear.  The Firm Feel arm is 3/4" longer than the stock arm.  (The OEM arm measures 5-1/4" from center to center)

    5.  ENGINE MOUNTS:

    OUR MODIFIED DESIGN MOTOR MOUNTS/SPOOL MOUNTS ARE REQUIRED, sold separately.  [TTi Motor mounts]

    6.  AUTO TRANS:

    904, 727, 545RFE, GM 4L60E

    • Floor Shift:  Some applications may require the adjustable swivel & the lower rod to be re-positioned to clear the header collector.  See illustration #3703

    7.  STANDARD TRANS:

    A833 4-SPEED, TKO500 5-SPEED, TKO600 6-SPEED, T56 TRANS

    • Flywheel size:  10.5" 130-tooth ring gear

    • Z-bar Clutch Linkage:  All applications must use a hydraulic clutch

    8.  FLOOR SHIFT:

    YES

    • Auto Trans:  Some applications may require the adjustable swivel & the lower rod to be re-positioned to clear the header collector.  See illustration #3703

    9.  COLUMN SHIFT:

    NO

    •  HOWEVER, column shift clearance can be achieved by modifying your shift linkage.  TTi does not make a linkage to satisfy this situation.

    67-76 A-body Note:  DIY modification required to the units mounting holes.  The three mounting holes must be elongated to .810" to allow the steering unit to be moved away from the engine for adequate clearance from the header tubes.

    NO – HEADERS WILL NOT CLEAR THE FACTORY LOW-MOUNT A/C COMPRESSOR #4596492AC... 

    • Drivers-side header will not clear in A, B or E-body applications, however, DIY clearance can be achieved in B & E-body applications by making a small indentation in the #1 header tube to clear this factory low-mount compressor.  See illustration sheet #920AC
